I am happy to announce that I am invited to give a workshop for an exciting series on performance art in Vietnam, called “Project Đẩy Sàn”.

This cooperation, formed by the art collective Cùng Bóc Hành (Red, Nhật Huỳnh-Vũ and Đoàn Thanh Toàn), The Run - The Theater Project (Trà Nguyễn) and Goethe Institut HCMC (VN), is a collaborative project that fosters learning, collaboration, and experimentation for emerging Saigon-based performance artists. Local emerging artists will have an opportunity to learn tools for performance-making, and have one-of-a-kind support in presenting their own performance to the public.

The first workshop of this program, called RÈN, will focus on the topic “Body in Space, Space for the Body” and will be led by Sasapin Siriwanij (Performance Artist from Thailand) and me.

My part is dedicated to “the attraction of the accidental” and the “appreciation of the obstacle“. Participants will experiment with different ways of thinking about space and collaboratively creating environments with a focus on playful and playable situations.
